Rachel Wood, Mezzo-Soprano, sang the role of Zita in Gianni Schicchi with Opera Experience Southeast in June 2013. She is currently completing doctoral studies at the Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. She performed the title role in the Opera Studio Nederland's production of Britten's The Rape of Lucretia, the roles of La Natura and Endimione in Cavalli's La Calisto, and Penelope in Monteverdi's Il Ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria. Her roles at Indiana University have included Dorabella (Così fan Tutte), Zita (Gianni Schicchi) and Alma March (Little Women). Other opera credits include Madame de Croissy (Dialogues des Carmélites), Cornelia (Giulio Cesare), Dame Doleful in the Canadian premiere of Edwin Penhorwood's Too Many Sopranos, and Emma Jones (Street Scene).
