Joshua Conyers, baritone, sang the role of Marcello in La Bohème at Opera Experience Southeast in May 2012 and January 2013. He is currently pursuing an MM in Vocal Performance at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music where he studies with Timothy Noble. Roles there have included Valentin in Gounod's Faust, Marcello in La Bohème and Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas. Other performances have included The Vicar in Benjamin Britten's Albert Herring, Lord Guglielmo Cecil in Donizetti's Maria Stuarda, Buonafede in Haydn's Il mondo della luna, Henry Davis in Kurt Weill's Street Scene, Bob in Menotti's The Old Maid and the Thief, and the Devil Gate Keeper in Dvorak's The Devil and Kate. In Spring 2013 Mr. Conyers sang the title role in Giuseppe Verdi's Falstaff at the Jacobs School of Music and covered the role of Walt Whitman in the world premiere of Theodore Morrison's Oscar and the Marquis d'Obigny in La Traviata at Santa Fe Opera.
